Hockey Canada interim chair grilled by MPs over protection of current leadership

The interim chair of the board of directors at Hockey Canada, Andrea Skinner, was grilled during testimony before the House of Commons heritage committee over the protection of current CEO Scott Smith and the decision to not fire him amid the handling of a scandal over alleged sexual misconduct. Skinner said she believes a policy change can still happen without firing the CEO. “We believe it’s in the best interests of Hockey Canada and for all its participants that the organization’s leadership remain stable,” she added.
