Winnipeg police clash with protestors at Manitoba Legislative Building

Dozens of Winnipeg police officers responded to a call at the Manitoba Legislative Building as protesters brought a large pole to construct a teepee on the grounds. Police refused a man carrying one pole and another protester was told to remove a pole that was brought earlier. Two teepees that currently stand on the legislative grounds are part of two encampments that have existed there for several months. The province passed a law in late spring that bans encampments from the grounds and forbids people from bringing in supplies.
