Mahsa Amini death: Joly defends Canada’s response to Iran, says more sanctions coming

During Monday’s session of question period in the House of Commons, Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly defended Canada’s stance on dealing with the Iranian government, following the death of Mahsa Amini – the 22-year-old Iranian woman who died in the custody of Iran's so-called "morality police" for reportedly wearing her hijab too loosely. Plus, Joly was also asked outside the House about the issue and said Canada has imposed new sanctions on Iran, with more to come.
