Det. Sgt. Doris Carriere of Durham Regional Police held a press conference Monday with new details discovered from cellphone data in the death of 32-year-old Ariel Kaplan, a man whose remains were found in a hockey bag in an Uxbridge pond earlier this year. It is believed that Kaplan was abducted on Aug. 29, 2021 near Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue before being killed and disposed of.
