Nathaniel Teed of the NDP party was voted in as Saskatoon Meewasin’s new Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) on Monday. Teed also represents the 2SLQBTQ+ community and is making history as the first openly gay MLA in Saskatchewan. Before moving to politics he carved a path in education where he noticed the importance of diversity and representation. Speaking to the 2SLGBTQ+ community, Teed says his win is proof there is room in politics for the community.
