Kayla DeMong, executive director of Prairie Harm Reduction in Saskatoon, reacted on Monday to news of Saskatoon's Lighthouse Supported Living Inc. closing its doors. DeMong said the news hits harder as Saskatoon enters the fall season and the days and nights get colder. DeMong added that with the loss of 60 beds at the shelter, she hopes Saskatoon's unhoused population will be accommodated elsewhere.
