Mahsa Amini: Iran must ‘end its use of violence’ against women, must be accountable, White House says

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Monday that Iran must be held accountable for the death of Mahsa Amini, who died while in the custody of the country's morality police over her appearance. Jean-Pierre said the U.S. was calling on Iran to "end its use of violence" against women, as protests over Amini's death have grown in the country and has seen women cutting their hair in part of the protest.
