Police in Vancouver are alerting the public to another unprovoked assault as attacks on strangers are on the rise. While Canadians saw budget relief with inflation dropping slightly last month, Americans are still looking for a break, but it’s not likely to happen anytime soon. And in Canada, inflation’s also having an impact on how much people are being expected to tip at restaurants or hair salons. With school around the corner, some Canadian parents are heading to the U.S. in hopes of getting a COVID-19 booster for their kids before they start class. And in Halifax, a group of student scientists are working to get the next generation of Black and Indigneous youth interested in ecology. The Cowichan Tribes are finally seeing clean drinking water and we look at what the community has faced and what still needs to be done. Finally, two kids in Calgary have managed to conquer the Rubik’s Cube, with one able to solve it in just 12 seconds. They found there are benefits to the puzzle outside of the fun.
