Kokanee salmon have begun making their way from Okanagan Lake to nearby creeks and streams as they start to spawn. One fact you may not know, is that these fish know and remember which body of water they were born in, so for the kokanee at Deep Creek near Peachland, this is the first time they’ve returned to their birthplace in 4 years.
