New Canadians Centre paving the road for immigrant and refugee students this fall

For dozens of families in the Peterborough region, going back to school is about more than seat assignments and class schedules. Instead, it will be a complete cultural immersion of a new reality for some children's first time in class in Canada, with a new language, and in many cases far away from some of the most important people in their lives. Jessica Devlin is the Youth & Community Programs Coordinator at New Canadians Centre Peterborough. She tells Teresa Kaszuba what the organization is doing to make that transition just a little easier for these students.
