Canada’s deputy chief medical officer of health Dr. Howard Njoo defended the country’s mandatory random testing at airports after the federal government announced Thursday it would again test fully-vaccinated travellers arriving at Canada’s four main airports beginning next week. Njoo said it was important for their monitoring program in regards to detecting variants, saying they needed the data to formulate recommendations.
