While many Canadians are sick of the COVID-19 pandemic, cases are still rising once more and if there's one takeaway, while we may be over it, it's not done with us yet. And as cases rise, Canada's premiers and territorial leaders continue to push the federal government for more funding to help address the ailing system. In the U.S., the Jan. 6 committee continued to focus on former president Donald Trump's role in assembling the mob that attacked the Capitol. And Rogers is now changing its tune, offering five days of compensation to those impacted by the outage instead of the original two. Then, parts of Europe are sweltering under extreme heat and the U.K. is on the verge of declaring its first national heatwave emergency. Finally, we take a closer look at the release of the stunning images from the James Webb Space Telescope and what this means going forward.
