The OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery unit is searching the water of Pigeon River in Omemee, in relation to an ongoing investigation.
Several people who live in the neighborhood say the unit arrived late Thursday morning.
Officers and divers are using metal detectors to help in their search.
Police have not disclosed what the search is about.
Over the past week, there have been a triple stabbing on July 2 and a violent break-in on July 5, both at same apartment complex on James St. North.
