A Cobourg police officer was dragged by a vehicle during a traffic stop Tuesday evening.
Around 7 p.m., police say the officer was conducting a traffic stop when the vehicle fled, dragging the officer down the road, giving them cuts and bruises.
Authorities say two suspects were in the vehicle when it took off, and one left the scene on foot into a nearby wooded area.
A canine unit worked to track down the suspect who fled on foot, but was unsuccessful.
Police were later able to find the suspect vehicle after a minor collision occurred just north of the original scene on County Road 45 in Baltimore.
On Wednesday police said the driver faces charges and the third individual is still outstanding.
