For many, official recognition of Canada’s No. 2 Construction Battalion is long overdue. The Government of Canada took a step toward changing that with a historic plaque honouring the only all-Black unit to serve in the first World War. It comes just days before an official apology is made to descendants of the battalion’s members. Amber Fryday has that story.
