Eskasoni Mi’kmaw families reflect on 1940s forced relocation

Many families were forced to move from their settlements across the province in the 1940's after a policy was authorized to relocate Mi’kmaq to two reserves -- Eskasoni and Shubenacadie. This was an experiment by the government called "centralization" -- and what many consider to be reflection of colonization. Amber Fryday caught up with some Eskasoni families about how the effects are still being felt in the community.
