U.S. Senate nears passage of gun reform bill weeks after dual shooting tragedies

The U.S. Senate is nearing final passage of its bipartisan gun reform bill which could be sent to the House by the end of the week. While it still will need at least 60 votes to pass, the 10 Republicans who helped craft the bill, which includes including bolstering red flag laws and strengthening background checks, have not shown signs of balking.
