U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday called the approval of COVID-19 vaccines for children under five years of age a "very historic milestone." Speaking from the White House, the president said it is "a monumental step forward," adding that "the United States is now the first country in the world to offer safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines for children as young as six months old." The vaccines will begin to roll out this week.
