Declan Lord, 13, was diagnosed with spinal cancer when he was just 10 months old. He beat the disease amid 100 operations and 200 hospitalizations — but it left him a mild paraplegic, requiring a walker or wheelchair to get around. That isn’t stopping him from being involved in sports though: as John Sexsmith explains, he loves baseball and has become quite the umpire.
