Governor General Mary Simon addressed members of Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Monday morning in a ceremony to honour residential school survivors and the first anniversary of the discovery of 215 suspected unmarked graves. She said facing the painful past requires strength and the community needs "time, space and support to heal".
