Global Accessibility Awareness Day shines a light on virtual access for the Deaf and hard of hearing
Description
May 19, 2022
Not everyone was able to make a smooth transition to virtual communication during COVID-19.
It could have been inadequate access to internet and to devices, and even inadequate access to those with disabilities.
On Global Accessibility Awareness Day, Noor Ibrahim was joined by Barb Downey from Deaf Blind Ontario Services in Peterborough to give some insight on what it has been like for her as a Deaf woman using these virtual communication services.
