The U.S. Senate failed to pass a bill on Wednesday guaranteeing abortion rights across the country. The bill would have codified the Roe v. Wade court ruling as federal law. Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer said the vote "makes crystal clear" the contrast between Democrats and Republicans on the issue and on who to vote for, he said, if people want to protect a woman's right to choose.
