Johnny Depp, Amber Heard defamation trial: Heard claims Depp sexually assaulted her

Warning: Disturbing content. Actor Johnny Depp is suing his ex-wife Amber Heard for defamation over her 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she spoke out about being a victim of domestic violence. On Day one of the trial, attorney Elaine Bredehoft recounted Heard’s allegation that Depp sexually assaulted her in Australia, and “penetrated her with a liquor bottle.”
