Ziar Khan Yaad, an Afghan journalist who fled to Islamabad after being beaten up by the Taliban, says he’s been in a difficult situation financially and with no accommodation as he awaits his refugee application to be processed by the IRCC. “The process of IRCC, which is the permanent resettlement program for Afghan refugees, is very slow,” he says.
