When asked about easing COVID-19 travel restrictions by Global News reporter Richard Zussman, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney says although it was not on the agenda for the Council of the Federation, there is recognition across the country that “many jurisdictions around the world that have adopted more common sense travel protocols than we have in place.” Kenney references a newspaper article, agreeing the “current travel restrictions are not meeting their intended goal” and Canada’s travel and tourism industry has been hit hard.
