U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Linda Thomas-Greenfield said Monday that despite comments by Russia’s own ambassador, there was “no plans to weaken Russia” amid the ongoing situation in Ukraine. She said that actions by Russia on Ukraine’s border, including the amassing of about 100,000 troops, was “provocative,” adding encouraging democracy is “not provocative.”
