Ontario Deputy Premier and Health Minister Christine Elliott provided more details on Thursday about the province's plan of lifting of COVID-19 restrictions. Ontario will begin its phased re-opening on Jan. 31 with gyms and restaurants at 50 per cent capacity, and move to the second phase on Feb. 21 which will remove capacity limits in indoor public settings where proof of vaccination is required. Then on March 14, the province plans to lift capacity limits in all indoor public settings. However, proof of vaccination will remain in place.
