COVID-19: Canadians’ support for lockdowns, government dips amid Omicron wave, poll suggests

Ipsos polling exclusively for Global News suggests Canadians are losing confidence in government leaders and their response to the Omicron variant-fuelled COVID-19 wave, with only 49 per cent of Canadians approving of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s response to the latest surge in cases and hospitalizations. Support for lockdowns has also dipped to its lowest point since the pandemic began.
