Provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, said Tuesday the decision to reopen gyms in B.C. came from looking at the risk factor involved and consulting with the fitness industry. Henry said it was not a case of bowing to public pressure but knowing the facilities can now reopen safely with proper plans in place.
