The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended Monday that those who test positive for COVID-19 but are asymptomatic can end their isolation period at five days instead of 10. It said there is growing evidence people are most infectious in the two days before and three days after symptoms develop. The recommendation also applies for close contacts.
