Car that entered Niagara River believed to be intentional: police

New York State park police Capt. Christopher Rola said on Thursday the department believes after an assessment of several factors, including the driver’s mental health records, the car that plunged into the Niagara River Wednesday morning on the U.S. side of Niagara Falls was an intentional act. The woman’s body was pulled out by the U.S. Coast Guard on Wednesday, but the car remains lodged in the river.
