A U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expert panel will weigh authorization of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for children aged five to 11 on Tuesday as it prepares to vote on a recommendation. If the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) ultimately endorses the shot, the vaccines could start being administered as soon as next week.
