Current COVID-19 vaccine coverage leaves Canadians ‘better protected’ heading into winter, Tam says

Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said Friday that the level of COVID-19 vaccine coverage in Canada to date has left people “better protected” heading into the respiratory season, but said the relaxing of health measures like masking and limiting close contacts could lead to a “serious Delta-driven resurgence.”
