Canadian Medical Association President Dr. Katharine Smart called on the federal government to take action on “now” on the health-care system, stressing there is staffing issues and inadequate resources. She said the system is in an “unprecedented crisis” with no easy fixes, but there were some things that could happen now to help during the current phase of the pandemic.
