Health Canada’s chief medical advisor Supriya Sharma discussed the experimental COVID-19 pill molnupiravir, which drugmaker Merck says reduces hospitalizations and deaths by half in people recently infected with the coronavirus. Sharma told reporters that Health Canada is working on the review process with international partners after receiving a submission from Merck in August.
