Ontario revises school curriculum to include mandatory Indigenous studies

A day ahead of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Ontario’s Education Minister Stephen Lecce announced on Wednesday changes to the elementary, middle and high school curriculums to include teachings on mandatory Indigenous historical and contemporary realities, such as inter-generational trauma faced due to the residential school system.
