Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Friday night that Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig, two Canadians detained in China for more than 1,000 days had been released and were on their way home. Their detainment came just days after Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou was arrested in Canada over an extradition request by the U.S. She was released earlier Friday after she reached a deal over charges against her.
