U.S. urban search and rescue team heads to Haiti following deadly earthquake

An urban search and rescue team based in northern Virginia will join U.S. federal disaster workers who are already deployed on the ground in Haiti to help look for survivors of a 7.2 magnitude earthquake, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) said on Sunday via Twitter, where it posted video and photos of the rescuers preparing for their trip. Meanwhile, residents from the areas hardest hit by the earthquake took shelter at a soccer field in Les Cayes as rescue efforts were underway.
