Canada settles class action lawsuits over First Nations drinking water advisories

Canada’s Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller announced on Friday that the federal government has settled two class-action lawsuits involving dirty drinking water in First Nations communities. The proposed settlement agreement is worth nearly $8 billion is still awaiting court approval.
