Alberta bringing COVID-19 measures in line with other respiratory viruses: Hinshaw

Dr. Deena Hinshaw said Alberta will continue to offer vaccines, testing symptomatic people for whom the outcome will affect their treatment, and managing outbreaks in high-risk locations. However, the chief medical officer of health said other things will change gradually: Starting Thursday, quarantines will not be universally, legally required for close contact of confirmed cases. Routine testing of asymptomatic close contacts will also stop, as will calls from contact tracers.
