Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he was “deeply disappointed” after Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Carolyn Bennett sent a text to Jody Wilson-Raybould, Independent MP for Vancouver-Granville, which Bennett later acknowledged was “inappropriate.” Bennett’s text was in response to a tweet from Wilson-Raybould about the discovery of 751 unmarked residential school graves in Saskatchewan. Wilson-Raybould was a former cabinet minister in the Trudeau government before she was removed from cabinet, and later caucus, by Prime Minister Trudeau in the wake of the SNC Lavalin affair.
