Speaking on Thursday, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister said Canada must “confront” its past after the discovery of more than 700 unmarked graves at a former residential school in Saskatchewan, but added that he doesn’t believe Canada Day should be cancelled. Instead, Pallister encouraged Canadians to celebrate, but “should celebrate it with its warts too.”

Speaking on Thursday, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister said Canada must “confront” its past after the discovery of more than 700 unmarked graves at a former residential school in Saskatchewan, but added that he doesn’t believe Canada Day should be cancelled.
