Las Vegas Raiders’ Carl Nassib comes out as gay, becomes NFL’s first openly gay active player

Carl Nassib, who plays defensive end for the National Football League’s Las Vegas Raiders, stated in a video posted on his Instagram account Monday that he’s gay, making him the first openly gay active player in the NFL. He announced he’s donating $100,000 to the Trevor Project, a suicide prevention service for LGBTQ+ youth in the U.S.
