Trudeau says Canada looking at phased approach to easing U.S. border restrictions
Description
June 18, 2021
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Friday that Canada is looking at a phased approach to ease travel restrictions over the Canada-U.S. border. The PM said they want to see vaccination rates of at least 75 per cent of people with one dose and 20 per cent with both doses before they look at re-opening the land border with the U.S. The border will remain closed for at least another month, Bill Blair, the federal minister of public safety, announced earlier Friday.
