Canada's deputy chief public health officer Dr. Howard Njoo said Thursday that while more shipments of COVID-19 vaccines were coming into the country, he did not expect some provinces to shrink the dosing interval for second doses further than the eight to 10 weeks they recently decreased them to. He said real-world studies also have shown a longer interval may actually be beneficial, citing a U.K. study on AstraZeneca.
