Ontario confirms 1st rare blood clot death linked to AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine

Ontario’s deputy chief medical officer of health Dr. Barbara Yaffe confirmed Wednesday the province had its first death associated with a rare blood clotting disorder linked to the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. The man was in his 40s and received his first dose of the vaccine in late April and died a few weeks later.
