Andrew Clyde said on Wednesday during a House Oversight Committee hearing into the federal response of the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot that if people did not know they were watching news coverage, the images of people entering Statuary Hall inside the building would have looked like a “normal tourist visit.” He also called the events of Jan. 6 insurrection a “bold-faced lie.”
