When asked what the target number of daily COVID-19 cases should be for the stay-at-home order to be lifted in Ontario, chief medical officer Dr. David Williams said while there is no definite metric right now, it would have to be "well below" 1000 cases per day for the recommendation to be made based on the contagious variants of concern and the number of hospitalizations.
