Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Howard Njoo commented on Quebec’s planned rollout of a QR code for electronic proof of COVID-19 vaccination on Thursday. Njoo said a number of jurisdictions, as well as those on the federal level, are looking at the concept, but added he sees there are issues with it. “What does that mean six months from now, a year from now…we know no vaccine is one hundred per cent effective and so the fact is there are going to be people walking around maybe having received a full two dose regiment for the vaccines that require two doses that may still be susceptible.”
