Mayor Valérie Plante stirred the ire of social advocates on Thursday by stating that tent cities that have popped up around Montreal will not be tolerated. Plante says she is committed to tackling the city’s housing crisis and plans are underway to have 10 rapid housing projects up and running by 2022.
